A well-maintained outdoor elevator can last between 15 and 25 years when properly cared for and serviced regularly. The lifespan depends on the quality of marine-grade materials, frequency of use, exposure to saltwater and humidity, and the initial installation quality. Most elevators perform at peak efficiency for the first 10 years, with moderate performance continuing for an additional 5-10 years before potential major repairs or replacement become necessary.
Galaxy outdoor lift models travel up to 27 feet, which covers most 2- to 3-story residential
and commercial applications. The Shuttle reaches up to 17 feet, the Shuttle+, Voyager+, and Voyager HD all reach up to 27 feet.
